Mario Perez, President ()
Appointed April 2005, Reappointed December 2007
Mario Perez has extensive national and international experience in sales and marketing. For more than 20 years, he worked for IBM Corporation as a senior strategist for the computer start-up division. During his tenure, he formed teams and trained sales forces worldwide. Perez began his IBM career in San Antonio, Texas where he graduated from St. Mary's University with a degree in Criminal Justice. Several years ago, he embarked on a successful career as a restaurateur and currently owns and operates Mario's Mexican Restaurant in Hutto.


Jonas Miller, Vice President
Appointed June, 2006
Jonas Miller is currently the Deputy Chief of Staff for U.S. Congressman, John "Judge" Carter. He has been a senior advisor for numerous campaigns for the U.S. Congress, State Senate, State Representative and county elections. Prior to his political career, Miller had a successful career in the banking industry. He currently serves on the boards of Round Rock Serving Center, Cris Love, Jr. Foundation and the Nathan Chapman Foundation. He is a graduate of West Texas A & M University and the Campaign Leadership Institute in Washington, DC.


Jason Wirth, Secretary
Appointed December, 2006
A 30-year resident of Williamson County, Jason Wirth was recently elected to his third term on the Hutto City Council. He is a project manager and chief estimator for Texas Fixtures and Interiors, Inc., a Hutto-based company dealing in retail and commercial millwork and trim. In addition to serving on the Hutto EDC board, Wirth serves on the Hutto Independent School District/City Council Committee and the Outside Agency Funding Committee.


Scott Heselmeyer, Treasurer
Appointed December, 2006
Scott Heselmeyer is an attorney and member of the law firm, Izzo & Heselmeyer, PLLC. Following graduation from Texas A&M University, Heselmeyer worked for the Texas Department of Agriculture and then attended law school at the Georgetown University Law Center in Washington D.C. He also serves as a board member and general counsel for Habitat for Humanity of Greater Round Rock.


E.K. (Bud) Folley, Board Member
Appointed May, 2007 Reappointed December, 2007
Bud Folley is branch president of First State Bank of Hutto and has 35 years of experience in the banking industry. He received his finance degree from Texas A & M University.


Josh Lake, Board Member
Appointed December, 2006
Josh Lake is a Texas Commission of Fire Protection certified firefighter and TDH certified EMT-Basic. He was a firefighter/engineer for the Hudson Bend Fire Department in Travis County where he was awarded "Firefighter of the Year" and "Engineer of the Year." Lake was recently hired by the Austin Fire Department and is currently in cadet training at the AFD academy. He also continues to work part-time as a member of the Hutto Fire Department.


Sally Velasquez, Board Member
Appointed December, 2006
Sally Velasquez has a long career in state and government public policy. After working in the Texas Legislature, she became an independent lobbyist and is now the owner of Texas Horizon, an organization that provides governmental and public affairs consulting. She is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin.
