Scott Martinez ()
Executive Director
Scott Martinez joined Hutto EDC as executive director in September 2007 after
working in Hurricane Katrina Disaster Recovery and Global Business for the Mississippi
Development Authority in Jackson, Mississippi. Scott’s previous tenure in Texas included
developing and implementing a highly successful comprehensive economic development
program in Round Rock, Texas and serving as associate director of the Greater Conroe
Economic Development Council in the Houston, Texas area for five years. Martinez holds
a Bachelor of Arts degree from Ole Miss as well as a Master of Science degree in Economic
Development from the University of Southern Mississippi. He has studied the economic
development process abroad in Australia, Cuba, and New Zealand. Scott has been designated
a Certified Economic Developer (CEcD) by the International Economic Development Council.
Lori Hines ()
Economic Development Coordinator
Lori Hines became Hutto EDC’s first employee as administrative assistant in 2002,
completed the Basic Economic Development Course in 2005, and was promoted to economic
development coordinator in 2006. She is a State of Texas Notary Public, Ambassador for
the Hutto Chamber of Commerce and a member of the Texas Economic Development and International
Economic Development Councils.
